Educational Content

Fidelity’s Online Learning Center provides over 600 pieces of educational content in the format of articles, videos, webinars, seminars, infographics, courses, podcasts, and more. The website also provides exclusive coaching sessions with a group that ranges from 8–10 people, which gives more time for discussions between participants about their own personal situations or concerns they may have.

The brokerage company’s content is organized into helpful roadmaps, sorted by experience level and category so you can find what works best for your needs. It simplifies the process of learning about topics such as retirement planning or long-term investing, and how they pertain specifically to each person's financial situation.

There are also option plans that offer personalized planning and advice, and the use of artificial intelligence (robo-advisor) to help manage the strategy and investments for the stockholder.

Desktop & Mobile Platforms

Like most brokerage firms, Fidelity offers trading via website and mobile app, with all the tools needed and advanced research for casual investors. Active and professional traders will prefer the Active Trader Pro desktop platform, available for free.

Fidelity's website is a breeze to maneuver that includes all the tools to manage a portfolio. The advanced research tools are the main flagship of the online platform, including also screeners that allow low-cost trading using 10 years of historical data, great watchlists, quotes, charts, and 48 columns of data to navigate. The “news and research” tab provides real-time investment information and updates on stock market trends.

The mobile app also offers all the necessary tools for everyday investors to manage their investments through their phones. It offers real-time quotes with multi-leg options, a simple version of the website research tools, and a notebook to save ideas and articles on your mobile browser.

For professional investors, Active Trader Pro is a complete and customizable desktop platform that provides all the charting and trade functions, such as real-time analytics and trading alerts, investing insights, portfolio monitoring, and options trading assistance. This platform has all the essential tools to stay on top of the market and can be considered one of the best platforms for day trading.
